COVID-19 and Customer Safety

COVID-19 Update (9/17/20): Since the state announced that bars will be allowed to reopen at 50% capacity starting Monday, we have received a number of inquiries especially regarding Friday & Saturday nights. The state announcement simply removes the emergency order issued June 26 that closed bars and breweries. Under state guidelines, nightclubs are still not allowed to be open. In addition, any businesses that are open must insure social distancing and limit crowd sizes. 926 has had our pub side open for seating in a limited capacity along with the patio. However, we will not be opening the club side or restarting any "club" activities until it is both legal AND medically safe to do so. We appreciate the continuing support of our 926 family and friends as we try our best to weather this storm.

COVID-19 Update (7/4/20): And... we're back!! 926 has been thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitized. So far, all the tests have come back negative! We will be reopening for our regular hours starting today at 4 pm staffed by folks who have their results back. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and support. We look forward to seeing you and your mask soon!

COVID-19 Update (7/01/20): 926 Friends and Family, we have become aware that one of our 926 employees may have been exposed to COVID-19 while working at his other job. In an abundance of caution, 926 is closing effective immediately until we can get the building deep cleaned and our employees and contractors tested. We will keep you posted....

COVID-19 Update (6/18/20): We are still getting several calls and messages a day asking when we will be reopening. As much as we would love to be fully open, until the medical and health professionals deem it safe (and the numbers start actually going down) we will not be opening any further. In fact, several Tallahassee businesses have been forced to close in the last 48 hours as members of their staff have tested positive for Covid-19. Several others have decided to return to offering carry out and delivery only. The number of people infected and hospitalized is growing at an alarming rate. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will continue to consult with Health Department and medical experts and will base any decisions to open further on their advice and input.
COVID-19 Update (6/4/20): 926 family and friends: As most of you know, the Governor announced that as of Friday, Florida will be moving into "Phase 2" of his plan to reopen our state. This phase includes allowing concert venues, movie theaters, auditoriums, tattoo parlors, body piercing, tanning and massage businesses to also reopen while following social distancing guidelines. This executive order also covers restaurants with bar seating areas and bars which may now open at 50% capacity inside (with seated service only) and full capacity outside (while maintaining social distancing). However, the order specifically states "This section does not apply to nightclubs." The order also prohibits groups larger than 50 persons.
As always, we have consulted with medical experts, health department officials as well as our 926 family. In light of the current conditions and, as always, acting with an abundance of caution, we are announcing that as of Friday, we will be opening the patio area for seating and service as long as people are able to maintain proper social distancing. We are not opening our indoor seating at this time, however people will be able to come in to the pub area to order their food and drinks. We will still be providing food and drinks on a "to go" and delivery basis as well.
Also, please remember that as of this writing, Leon County is still under an 11 pm curfew until at least next Monday. Until the curfew is lifted, we will be closing at 10 pm to allow our folks to clean and sanitize 926 and to get home prior to the curfew time.
As always, we thank everyone for their continued support and patronage through this difficult time. We look forward to the day when we can all be back on the dance floor, behind the turntables and on the stage with all of our friends!!

COVID-19 Update (5/17/20): To our 926 Friends & Family: Starting Monday, the State of Florida is allowing gyms to re-open along with allowing restaurants and retail stores to open at a 50% level. While we understand that everyone is extremely anxious to get back to normal, after consulting with health professionals we do not feel there has been enough time (2 weeks on Monday) since the 1st phase of reopening to properly see the impact of reopening on the infection rate (R0). We would rather err on the side of caution then rush into reopening only to face the specter of having to close back down in a short period of time. Because of this and the fact that it would be very difficult to insure that there would be proper social distancing, we are continuing to keep our dining areas closed. We will be discontinuing lunch service at this time (it will be back when we can fully open & offer full coffee services in the afternoons). We will also be extending our evening hours to get closer to our normal hours in anticipation of the eventual return to normal business. Starting Monday, we will be open every day from 4 pm until 12 Midnight. In addition, Sunday Brunch has returned to their normal hours of 11 am until 3 pm. As always, we thank all of you for your continued support as we all try to get past this pandemic.

COVID-19 Update (5/02/20): To all of our 926 friends and family, As I'm sure you're aware, the Governor has instituted his "Phase 1: Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery". As a part of this plan, restaurants will be allowed to open for dining at 25% capacity starting this Monday. After consulting with medical and health department experts and talking with our 926 family members, we have decided not to reopen our on-site dining at this time. With the number of cases both in Florida as well as in the Leon County area continuing to rise and with no comprehensive testing and contact tracing plan in place currently, we feel that this decision is in the best interests of our 926 friends and family. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will make changes as we feel that we can do so without adversely affecting the health and safety of those around us. We will remain open for carry-out, curbside pickup and delivery for lunch and dinner. Also, in light of Leon County dropping the curfew, we will be extending our hours on Friday and Saturday nights until 11 pm starting next weekend. We would like to thank everyone for their amazing support during this difficult time for all of us! Every single one of us looks forward to getting this pandemic behind us and reopening completely. Your continuing support will help insure that we will all be here to enjoy that day!

COVID-19 Update (4/30/20):  A lot of people are talking about the Governor's announcement yesterday about allowing some businesses to reopen. A surprising number of people have been asking about Friday and Saturday nights. To be honest, it will likely be some time before "club nights" open again. Regardless of what the governor decides, we will be listening to the medical experts before we make that kind of decision. In fact, 926 decided to close our club side the week before the governor announced his executive order. It is a difficult job to balance between doing enough business so that we can remain open for the community and endangering the health of our 926 family and friends. We are examining how best to partake in this next step and will probably have a better idea in the next couple days. Watch for an announcement from 926 over the weekend.

COVID-19 Update (3/24/20): Today the City of Tallahassee and Leon County issued a "stay at home" order to help combat the spread of COVID-19. This order takes effect Wednesday, March 25. As a part of this order, there will be a curfew from 11 pm until 5 am.

926 WILL remain open for curbside pickup and delivery. We will be closing at 10 pm instead of 11 to allow our employees time to sanitize & get home before the curfew. As a part of the order we can allow no more than 8 people at any time to wait for their orders on the patio (but you will be able to wait in your car in the parking lot).

You can still order food & drinks to go here on our website or for delivery from Uber Eats, Bite Squad, Door Dash, Postmates or GrubHub.

Thank you for your continued support in these difficult times.

COVID-19 Update (3/21/20 pt 2): As many of you have heard, the Governor's office just ordered all restaurant dining rooms to be closed immediately. Restaurants can now only offer food and drinks for to-go and delivery only. Therefor effective immediately, the pub side will open only for people to pick up to-go orders. We will also have the patio open for people who are waiting for their orders. Our full menu of food and drinks (including alcoholic drinks) will be available for carry out and, delivery (delivery of alcohol is not currently available though). Brunch and Karaoke have been cancelled until further notice.

COVID-19 Update (3/21/20 pt 1): Hi everyone, as you know we had to close our "club side" as a result of COVID-19 and it looks like it may be a while before we're all able to get together and party like we did in the old days (you know, like before last week). Anyway, your 926 family is working hard to come up with ways we can still experience some of the community that helps make 926 so special. So watch for some changes in the next couple weeks. We are planning on expanding our menu and delivery options, as well as adding curbside pickup and extended hours! (Can you say "926 for lunch"? You may be able to soon!) In addition, we have created a 926 channel on Twitch!! We are in the process of creating virtual 926 nights like the Hot Friday Night Party, Sanctuary and maybe even our other nights as well! We are working to set it up so our DJs can live stream the music you love while we can all interact online!! Going forward, our performers will also be able to stream their shows for you as well. We will be announcing more in the coming days as we work through the technical issues involved & add the equipment necessary to get this all running. In the meantime, you can get a free twitch account and follow our channel so you'll get notified as we start live streaming!!!

COVID-19 Update (3/17/20): Per the mandate of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, we have adjusted our seating to maintain 6 foot seperation between parties.  We are also limiting our pub side capacity to 50% of our occupancy level.  This may, at times result in an excessive wait for entering the establishment.  We ask for your patience as we attempt to do our best to follow the recommendations of health officials and the mandates of our government officials.  We had already, in advance of todays mandates, ceased all "club" style operations and cancelled all of those events.

COVID-19 Update (3/16/20): With the CDC recommendation to avoid large gatherings (over 50 people) going forward, 926 is announcing that effective this week, all "club side" events are cancelled/postponed for the immediate future. This includes The Hot Friday Night Party, Sanctuary, Dragged Out Wednesdays, Bass Parade, clothing swaps, group meetings, any bands, etc. As of now, and barring any changes from the City/County or State, we will continue to stay open on the pub (small) side & for food service. St Patrick's Day will still go ahead as planned (as this was not a "club side" event) along with our normal "pub side" activities like karaoke and trivia.

March 12, 2020: We at 926 take the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously, and we want to assure you that we are implementing the recommendations of the Leon County Health Department, Florida Department of Health and the CDC to prevent the spread of the disease. The health and safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority.  We have always been very vigilant regarding sanitation at 926 and with the advent of the pandemic, we are doubling down on our efforts.

We are also adding additional procedures in addition to those recommendations:

In addition to our current cleaning and sanitizing procedures, we are:

1. Practicing vigorous hand washing techniques as outlined by the CDC. All 926 staff are aware of and trained on the CDC requirements for hand washing and are following those directions.

2. We are increasing the frequency of sanitizing flat surfaces, door handles, and knobs with disinfectants certified to be effective against Coronavirus.

3. Should any 926 staff member become sick, they have been instructed to stay home (this has always been our policy, but we are insuring that all employees, contractors and performers strictly follow this policy).

4. Persons showing symptoms of being ill will be asked to return after they are well.

5. We are now serving all drinks in single use plastic cups.

6. All food is being served in single-use disposable containers.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are grateful to all of our 926 family for your continued patronage and support.
